| We have lived here for a few years now and have gathered together lots of information that doesn't seem to be readily available. As Hampton grows with more people moving here all the time, the simple things we all know, can be very useful for new residents.
I have put together some questions that I thought were worth knowing, but if you can think of any more to add, do contact us. Q. What roads are adopted in Hampton?A. Hargate Way from Serpentine Way down to the mini roundabout. Silver Hill from the mini roundabout to Stanton Square park. Eagle Way from the A15 to the start of the fully built houses.Q. Are there any plans to adopt more roads? A. Hargate Way down from the mini roundabout to the shops and Eagle Way from the start of the houses off the A15 down to Westlake Avenue are in their maintenance period.Q. When are the above roads due to be adopted?A. Since the meeting in December 2009, we have been given a list of estimated timescales for adoptions of the roads in Hampton. I have a copy of this list, so if you would like information on a particular road, please feel free to contact me.Q. Who do I contact if street lights are not working?A If the road is adopted then contact PCC on 747474, if the road is unadopted it needs to be reported to the developer who built the properties. We do have some contact details available if required.Q. Do you know what other shops are coming to Vale?A. The fish and chip shop should be open soon. Lloyds Chemist on the corner facing the Vale Primary School. Indian Restaurant, Steak House and Hair Salon. Q. How do you know which bin to put out each week?A. Details can be found on our Useful Information page.Q. When will the Clayburn Road junction be opened?A. There is no longer any time scale for this, due to the recession and the junction requiring a lot more work to be done, O&H have not given any further estimation dates.
