Hampton Sports FC established in November 2007 is the main provider of senior football in the Hampton townships. They currently have senior sides in the Peterborough & District Football League and the Peterborough Sunday Morning Football League respectively.
Although football is its primary activity the club very actively supports local youth projects and carries out a number of fund raising activities throughout the year to raise money for good causes or people in need. They have raised money for both the British Heart Foundation and the Sue Ryder charity in time gone by and more recently assisted with raising the awareness and some funds for local youngster Daniel Paices Operation Fund.
Sadly in February 2010 the clubs Sunday morning team manager and co-founder Neil Springthorpe passed away suddenly. The club has moved to establish “The Neil Springthorpe Memorial Cup” in his honor and this shall be competed for by the club and some invited teams annually.
